The film explains that cancer is the generic term given to a wide variety of diseases where abnormal cells begin to grow and spread in different parts of the body. It explains how cells may become abnormal and how they turn into tumors.
Smoking, drinking and a poor diet are cited as some of the risk factors for cancer, but there are many other reasons why a person may develop the disease. In addition, the way cancer behaves in people differs greatly from person to person, meaning there is no one universal cure that will work for everyone.
