Paul Kraus was diagnosed with mesothelioma in 1997 and the cancer had spread so much that doctors told him to go home and get his affairs in order as he wouldn’t have long to live. Almost two decades later Kraus is still very much alive and has beaten cancer twice more–prostate cancer and brain cancer. He has written many books about his survival story and has had a quite remarkable life, from a very troubled beginning fleeing Auschwitz with his mother and younger brother to emigrating to Australia in 1948. Seventy-two-year-old Kraus is now an advocate for cancer survivorship and attributes his health to diet and complementary therapies alongside conventional cancer treatments.
